The Research Schools Network provides school-led support for the use of evidence to improve teaching practice
There is an opportunity for Teaching Assistants to improve and deepen their Maths subject Knowledge and pedagogy. Increased confidence in their own subject knowledge, and enhanced awareness of how children gain number sense and learn Mathematics will allow TAs to better support children in the classroom and during small group or individual intervention.
The DfE are looking for Teaching Schools to take part in research about school experience, and how gaining this might be made easier for potential teachers and the schools that host them. They would like to hear from all schools, regardless of whether they use the DfE’s School Experience Programme (SEP) portal.
